Okay so I think I've decided on making a Digimon based heavily around Gl'bgolyb.
Baby: Conchmon - Pretty much just a basic Alternian Cuddlefish, light pink in coloration. Her only attack is to blow tiny bubbles, except it looks more like she is foaming at the mouth.
In-Training: Golybmon - Conchmon with four tentacles out the front and back, similar to an octopus with a conch shell for the "head". Is able to shoot ink jets.
Rookie: Cuddlemon - Imagine Gl'bgolyb's head that kinda just floats around with various tentacles of various sizes. Uses her various tentacles to wrap and constrict targets.
Champion: Whispermon - Huge growth in size, now the size of three teenage trolls give or take a set of horns. Able to move slowly on land with the use of her tentacles, but is a much better swimmer. Pulls enemies close and whispers dark thoughts to them leaving them in fear of future events.
Ultimate: Vastglubmon - About half the total size of Gb'golyb, and with the ability to let out piercing petrifying screeches. Will eat just about anything in her way, or will at least try especially if it's a threat. Tentacle count is currently in the hundreds.
Mega: Horrorterrormon - Think Gb'golyb herself as a digimon, two heads, countless tentacles. Speaks telepathically only, and people who are not use to hearing her voice are driven close to insanity.
